Il a pleinement raison quand il qualifie les idées du Parti québécois en la matière de ''laxistes''. Trop souvent, des gens récidivent. Il est temps que ça cesse, cela fais trop longtemps que ça dur et ça doit changer.

«Mario Dumont entend resserrer le système carcéral au Québec, en restreignant l’accès aux libérations conditionnelles, quitte à devoir ouvrir d’autres places ou construire de nouvelles prisons dans la province. L’objectif ultime: réduire le nombre de récidives.
Le chef de l’ADQ, en visite à l’ancienne prison de Trois-Rivières, devenue un musée, a critiqué la politique du Parti québécois, qualifiée de «laxiste», qui a réduit le nombre de places dans le système carcéral. Ce qui a causé, selon lui, un phénomène où les détenus entrent et sortent des prisons constamment, faute d’argent et de ressources. »La politique des portes tournantes coûte une fortune. La récidive est tellement installée dans notre système, ça démontre que le caractère dissuasif du système carcéral a été largement perdu», a souligné M. Dumont, en ajoutant que près du tiers des détenus actuels dans les prisons du Québec le sont pour une dixième peine ou plus.
L’ADQ prévoit investir 50 millions additionnels pour l’ensemble de ses engagements en sécurité publique. Cet argent pourrait servir, entre autres, à pallier aux débordements fréquents dans les prisons, qui ne risquent pas de diminuer si les détenus restent plus longtemps incarcérés, ayant moins accès aux libérations conditionnelles. Pour M. Dumont, celles-ci doivent redevenir un «privilège», plutôt qu’un «automatisme». Et si le système est davantage pris au sérieux, les contrevenants seront moins tentés de récidiver, soutient-il.
Les adéquistes proposent aussi de facturer aux détenus qui en ont les moyens une partie des coûts de leur détention, notamment pour défrayer l’hébergement et la nourriture.»

Je pense que tout le monde est d'accord pour dire que le système judiciaire fait défaut au Québec, et qu'on voudrait moins de libération conditionnelle.
Cependant une telle mesure entrainera des frais supplémentaires, que ce soit la construction de nouvelles prisons, l'embauche de nouveaux gardiens, et les frais reliés au bien-être (chauffage, électricité), etc.
Alors je me demande à quel endroit ces argents seront pris, si on ne veut pas couper dans d'autres programmes, comme ça été le cas, lorsque Mario Dumont a parlé de donner100$ par semaine, par enfants pour ceux qui n'ont pas réussi à se trouver une place en garderie, il disait qu'il prélèverait le montant en faisant une ponction à l'aide sociale.
À mon avis, je crois que si Mario Dumont a parlé de cela, c'est qu'il en avait une idée, on pourra s'en faire une idée lorsqu'il présentera son cadre financier.
